If it does I won't know, sports as a whole are dead to me.

I started a similar topic recently in Tiger Rant and it go whacked after two pages of comments, no reason given. Presumably the high strung responses by some resulted in a Tigerdroppings cancel culture. Seems we are getting more relevant responses to this one which is refreshing.

Are you kidding? Sports have become more political than just about anything else these days. It's a completely valid topic for the PT Board.

I mean, Chaisson only opened his ignorant mouth because Coach O paid President Trump a compliment.

Whats the recent Joe B comment??

I feel for all college athletes right now. I hope their voices are heard by the decision makers. If this happened a year ago I may be looking for a job right now.

Idc but conservatives need to stop paying money and attention to sports at all levels. Stop sacrificing your dignity for a fricking ball game: that will solve all this. I won't watch LSU unless it's on TV at a bar or restaurant I'm at

Orgeron just won a natty. People will look past whatever grievance they have because of that. If he were doing terrible or mediocre, he'd be catching more heat. Just look how many people, including reporters for ESPN, mocked his accent / dialect when he first started at LSU. Nobody's mocking it now. Same thing happened with Les. He was affectionately called "the mad hatter" until he fell out of favor with fans.

I genuinely believe, like another poster said, that O is apolitical. He loves Louisiana, and loves our country and will likely support the president, no matter what party the person belongs to.

Yesterday, he told players that they come first.

As they should but most of them are better off staying at school getting exposed and getting it over with... Then they can return to their families without worrying as much...

Sending them home now is like sending all the other college students home now... You brought them into an environment where they were potentially exposed and are now going to send them back home to an area that might not have been seeing as much exposure?

Not sure why an earlier poster implied that Burrow's comment had anything to do with what Chaisson said. Burrow is just saying that they need to play.

Yours is the voice of an objective and rational man. Unfortunately as we have seen on the political front the last few months being rational an objective has no place in the ends justify the means world. The people you refer to may accept Coach O and see the big picture. It will only take a few players to blow this up as no doubt the media will will carry their water.

Clark is just an attention seeker. He did the same thing when the OBJ stuff happened after the natty. He looks to cut ties with LSU about every 6 months to get some publicity. He is the epitome of a fair weather fan. As an alumni, LSU would have to do a hell of a lot more than have a football coach make respectful remarks about the President before I would cut ties with LSU or root for another team.

Thought he meant listen to the players safety concerns. Upon further reflection maybe he means listen to the players ho ant to play.

Whatever the ultimate decision is hopefully it ill be for the right reasons and with the safety of all concerned in mind.

This is what the left is hoping for.
It (College Football) is quite literally the best shot many young black men have, of becoming a millionaire by working hard at being an athlete.

And yes, the dims want to destroy that.

And for whatever reason, these young black men and women will still continue to vote for the same people that founded the KKK, held slaves in the South and are responsible for Jim Crow.

Very true. And based on point one if anyone brings up the fact the Coach O praised Trump he can simply reply that he doesn't follow politics that much but he supports all of our leaders to do well for our state and country and just leave it there.

In a perfect world that is true. For the cancel culture you are only judged by your worst moment or action , which is all in their subjective determination. Once Coach O spoke positively of Trump nothing else matters to the left wing ideologues. In spite of all of the great things Drew Brees did for the city of New Orleans, the vast amount of money donated which mostly benefitted black people as well as his personal time the minute he did not say what his black teammates thought he should say all of his generosity was completely forgotten. Brees was excoriated by his teammates who should have known better. Don't be surprised if Coach O gets the same treatment from several sources.

Championship Lives Matter

O delivers the training, strategy and motivation to enable a championship life. BLM’s philosophy puts its knee on the neck of championship life. These athletes have a choice.

Coach O needs to avoid these "opportunities" like the plague. In today's world, there is always someone who will oppose what you say.

Coach...just coach...it's what you are best at. Players...just play. That's all the fans want.

He also has a national forum and his comments will be far reaching which will negatively impact recruiting. Most recruits would have no idea about his comments, but now opposing coaches will make sure they see it.
