Imagine a blind, sick, or physically disabled person living on a paltry disability check, housing subsidies, and little else but state Medicaid - now imagine that same person having to deal with inflation.

I see nothing wrong with helping the less fortunate in our country (especially those disabled) with food assistance based on household income and/or job readiness/expectations (if abled). Florida does a good job with this.

The better question is what steps can we take so you no longer need food stamps.

Cut fully capable people from getting freebies from not working? Make them work?

I also see nothing wrong with THIS.

The problem is most who receive help are fully capable of getting a fricking job.

Food stamps should be discontinued. All recipients of government food should have to wait in a line to receive their government rice, cheese, milk and bread. They should not get a choice on what to “buy.” It should not be encouraged.

Having to choose cheaper, less nutritious options or simply go hungry as the funds ran low toward the end of the month is no fun.

Why are you on food stamps?

I think there will be an increase but it may or may not be a substantial amount.
