The question should be will he continue the policies that have led to the nation’s worst economy in a BOOMING national economy.

None of that apocalypse is happening. JBE is not a czar and the legislative body will keep anything crazy in check. Now the Federal government is not salvageable.

Expand Medicaid, become a sanctuary state, chase off industry.

What could go wrong?

Reality is more businesses related to oil and gas will leave.

More taxes

Mid size mfg businesses will eventually leave going to neighboring states as raw materials especially steel prices are volatile. Cannot cut steel prices you can go elsewhere where labor, taxes, fees, etc makes it cheaper to operate.

Some regions of this state will see more people leaving as their companies will leave the state.

There will eventually be a lay-off of some state and local workers as you can only tax the people left so much.

University’s will eventually have to make some cuts also.

We cannot keep the spending up if we do not have the businesses to help take the burden off the tax payers.

If JBE were smart, he'd ask the National Dems for guidance in order to curry favor with them, because he will need them in the future, unless he plans on retirement from public life and that doesn't seem likely.

So, if I were JBE, I'd be on the phone with the DNC now making plans to help elect more Dems nationally and locally, making plans to implement more Leftism in La. and making plans to help oust Trump from office.

Now that he won't have to answer for his decisions at the ballot box,

I’m counting on this, along with hoping we have at least a few legislators with vision, so that maybe the state has a chance to legalize by the end of his term

He will finally be free from the need for his brothers help, and it’s a winning position to take if he wants national attention

there’s nothing after this for JBE unless he wants to be like Edwin and sit out before he runs again

I wonder why the republicans didn’t try to attack him for not being left enough through a fake PAC... that would have peeled off a lot of white progressives in NOLA and BR

the “left” did not swing the election to Edwards. They were voting for him anyway.

you think the average progressive white guy would vote for Rispone because he thought Edwards wasn’t liberal enough?

and Edwards absolutely has a chance at office outside LA. Have you seen who all is running for president?

they wouldn’t have turned out though... part of politics is turning out your base, and republicans could have separated Edwards from part of his
