We love and welcome unrepentant sinners into the church every week. It’s one of the key ways to bringing them face to face with the conviction of the Holy Spirit. We do not affirm their sin.

If a person is living in known sin, and it’s not confronted by the church elders , that church is not conducting its operations by biblical instruction.

Don't you think those people need to be in church? they just need to be in the right church

Correct, and they need to hear the cold, ugly truth that their lifestyle will not lead to salvation, especially if they refuse to acknowledge the sinfulness of their ways

Those churches/pastors who cater to the alphabet crowd and celebrate their lifestyles are going to hell right along with them for refusing to do right by God.

One will certainly live that way if that’s the bar he sets. The Bible says we should be holy as he is holy. Set the mark higher

Sanctification, or the process of being more like Jesus every day is an expected requirement of a Christian. It’s not a suggestion.

Do you ever steal time from your employer by being on the TD board?

Nope, because I’m an operator and can do both and am not forbidden by company rules to do so.
But of course you are nitpicking and pretending I said Christians don’t sin.
Those that use flippant phrases like ,” everybody sins every day” do so because they have no intentions of trying to live a holy life.

Depends what church and what location. Though most Southern Baptist churches belong to an association, they are basically autonomous and their leadership and doctrine is more driven by the pastor and not some corporate creed.
I'm talking about national leadership like SBC president, seminary presidents, ELC leadership and so on.

Just a question? Are there any normal churches left that stand up for being a good person. I want to go to church but I don’t want to go to crazy town.

I'm not certain that God wants us to think of "worship" as listening to empty lyrics of contemporary christian music followed up by being bored listening to a hollow motivational speech for an hour.

And they all follow suit.

This^^^^. How refreshing would it be to attend church without the drone of generic worship music for 30 minutes only to have the skinny jeans wearing hipster 30 something year old pastor appear to give a quasi biblical based sermon that doesn’t offend or convict anyone?

We sing old hymns at our church accompanied by a single piano. And our pastor preaches expository sermons directly from the Bible, interspersed with some humor.

If you had a child, would you tell him, don’t worry about flunking tests, everybody does. Or would you require more?

Independent fundamentalist Baptist Churches.

They don't believe in the modern lie that Israel is God's chosen people. They don't support any type of homosexuality. The don't teach the false pre tribulation rapture. They only use the King James version of the Bible because most of the modern editions have scriptures completely left out or changed.

Modern lie? The scriptures that states Israel is God’s chosen people is thousands of years old.
The modern lie would be anyone denying the Bible calls Israel God’s chosen people.

It’s one thing for a church to forgive bad behavior but many churches including my Lutheran sect are condoning certain sins and getting very left wing politically. All to please the millennials.

A practicing homosexual is by definition, a habitual sinner, and therefore, not repentant. To love or welcome an unrepentant sinner into the church does neither the gay person nor the church any good.
what difference is a homosexual compared to divorcees, thief’s, masturbators, drug and alcohol abusers, fornicators, gluttons and fatasses?

The church would be empty without sinners.

From the beginning (Genesis) God made clear the (Ten) Commandments which He intended man to live under. The Seventh Commandment - Thou Shalt Not Commit Adultery prohibits the use of sex outside of covenant marriage (a man and a woman). Authentic Marriage is total, exclusive, and always open to new life. While some argue a gay union can meet two of the criteria for authentic marital union it cannot meet the third: always open to new life. Two gay men cannot conceive life.

Having said that Jesus hung around sinners. At least one public sinner; a woman caught in adultery (John 8:10-11) was rescued from eternal damnation. When her accusers left, Jesus asked the woman, "Woman, where are your accusers? Has no one condemned thee?" Whereupon she answered, "No one, Lord". Jesus answered, "I will not condemn thee either. Go, and do not sin again henceforward".

So in summary God laid down clear boundries as to what constitutes an offense against Him. It's really quite simple. Any sexual act outside of "covenant marriage" is sinful, wrong, and against God's natural law.

Having said that, I don't go to Church to condemn anyone. I go to worship the Living God hoping He will be merciful when I stand before Him on my day of judgement. You should go to Church also.

Gloria Patri.
