Why was the kid wrong for smirking?

His group had just been threatened by the Black Isrealites and next he has an Indian beating a drum in his face. The poor kid was probably thinking this has got to be a joke. I applaud the kid for keeping his exposure when faced with such intimidation tactics.

the kid was confused and uncomfortable. It was a dumfounded look, not a smirk. That's just the way the media wanted to interpret it. Kid had 3 choices there, retreat, attack or stand there and look confused. He's lucky that indian dude and the black jews didn't have something nefarious planned. You just don't let strangers get that close to you.

He wasn't just smirking though. He was smirking while being white and wearing a MAGA hat.

I don't think he was smirking. I think he was frozen and afraid to change his expression. He had this stranger beating a drum in his face and he had someone else with a video camera on his face. He looked like, "I don't know what to do here so I'll freeze with a goofy smile on my face."

This whole situation is one of the most idiotic things I've seen. I fear for our country.

It was probably about like me, dealing with the The Hari Krishnas at the St. Louis Airport for the first time, when I was 17.

Like...is this shite real?

Now to be fair, I haven't watched any TV for several weeks, and have been too busy even to be on the internet.
The only thing I know about this whole story, is what I have gleaned off of this site.

As soon as the protestors started yelling at the kids, the dumarse sponsors should have rounded the kids up and left. I blame the sponsors for letting this deal get out-of-hand. And, yes, I know about taking larger groups of high school kids to DC and Boston and LA and Chicago (I did it at least twice a year for almost 25 years) and I know how those situations should be handled. If their sponsors had acted properly, the situation would never have become a story. I don't blame the kids as they were just acting like 15-16-17 year old boys.

You definitely can't do it in the face of a person of color despite if they walk up to you. Supposed to just stand there bow your head meekly and gracefully like a good little soy boy while the person of color lectures you.

Nah. Where would be the fun in that? This black eye for the liberal media etc. should be a good example for how not to react until you know the facts. I doubt anyone will take it as such though.

He’s not. But since the narrative got blown out of the water, it’s the only thing left to grasp.

Anyone who claims he is smirking is just looking for a straw to grasp to save them from sinking in their own river of shite.

For all anyone knows that's just his normal face when he shows no emotion.

Actually he was smiling and grinning in a jovial, welcoming fashion til it became apparent the idiot old con was not doing what he was doing in a friendly fashion. He was trying to intimidate so his smile stayed but turned to a tortured smile. But he held his composure and didn't give in to the intimidation.

I do not care about the protestors. I care about those kids and that they are taught properly.
