Freedom of Speech is an excellent idea and makes so much sense, especially today when so many are trying to stifle it. My complaint is primarily against any flag flown above a US flag!!

You can be for freedom of speech, and still criticize the content of that "speech."

May be a subset of them but the NYU student body I’m aware of is very Hispanic

Latinos make up around 17% of the student body in the latest stats.

Are you under the impression that this was some sort of official NYU flag display?

but the Swastika Flag flew during the week at NYU which, to me, is even more disgusting

Just as disgusting as the hammer and sickle flag. If we're going to target these sorts of symbols we need to be more consistent.

You can fly what you want and people can feel how they want. However, you can not fly any flag above the US Flag in the USA.

But you're right. There are rainbow flags and rebel flags that certainly get attention. But they only get mine when flown as described above.

"Freedom of speech"? The First Amendment broadly protects expression from Governmental restrictions. It does not apply to person to person speech.
