Mexico could have been useful in fighting leftism in Central and South America and the Caribbean but it was never an option because they are opposed to our foreign policy, which is imperialistic in nature in their political POV.

I know you didn’t. But one of NATO’s reasons for existence being the preservation of peace in Europe does not mean that Mexico isn’t a North Atlantic nation, nor does it exclude Mexico from membership. Other factors exclude Mexico, but geography isn’t one of them.

Don’t have to, mostly because they don’t have one. I can look at a map and determine that Iceland is integral to any possible strategy in the North Atlantic.

A lot of you don't truly understand what NATO actually is. This stopped being about the "North Atlantic" a long time ago.

NATO is a defense alliance. Mexico can't even defend its own citizens from the cartels.
