At least 30 or 40 times. A lot of these discussions were not about elections but about political philosophy. Things like 'more taxes on the rich' are political but they're not centered around an election coming up.

My comment from a week ago is totally consistent with my posts today. The 'distress' is exactly what I'm saying today re leftist feeling uncomfortable about their beliefs.
'Not caring' has nothing to do with politeness. Not caring is about my thoughts, not my words. So, when we have a polite conversation it will trouble their minds and they will end it politely. I don't care. If I did care I would never disagree with them. I would lie to make them feel good.
Now you are correct that it makes them not want to interact with me again. Because they don't want to have their beliefs proved wrong again. That's fine with me. I never initiate the discussion.

The reason is simple in my mind. Liberals want to silence any thoughts that threaten, challenge, or hinder their cause. They behave like spoiled children when opposed or told no, they stomp feet, scream, and throw things.
So many have been brought up in a world that treated them this way, only now they are adults and still behaving like children.
