Why is immigrating to Pitcairn so much harder and elusive than immigrating to the USA?

Anyone wishing to settle on Pitcairn must have evidence of sufficient funding available to support them and any dependents until they gain permanent residence.
Normally six months’ bank statements, savings accounts, credit card statements or other evidence of assets in your name, may be requested. The Deputy Governor will ask you for this once you have submitted your application for settlement and paid your application fee.
New approved migrants are required to provide evidence of private medical/travel insurance prior to travelling to Pitcairn. Private travel/medical insurance must be maintained by approved new migrants throughout their 2 year (non-consecutive) permanent residency period.
Migrate to Pitcairn why don't ya?

If you mutiny, seize the ship and take it to Pitcairn will they let you in?
I mean, historical precedent and all, right?

Interesting rabbit hole. Pretty cool that you are given land for free just for becoming a resident after two years.

I watched several videos on life there.
1. When they have kids and send them off the island for college, they never come back.
2. Small population in small area = 'Familiarity breeds contempt' and there are fights.
3. Almost totally reliant on imported goods and they are not on a main route.

No ugly or over age 40 pure bred white women who are prohibited under felony law to wear any clothing, perhaps? Regardless of my immigration eligibility, I’m in there like a mexican.

Errol Flynn, Clark Gable, Marlon Brando and Mel Gibson all sought their asylum there in their portrayal of Fletcher Christian in his mutiny of the HMS Bounty from the craven and sadistic Captain Bligh April 28, 1789

Sorta. They can take it away if a person is under managing the land.

Is it the next Hong Kong?

Small island - not close to anything - no natural ports = perfect for one-way trip by a small group who wanted to scuttle their boat.
I can see why those who manage to live there do not want any non-productive parasites to become entrenched.

Pitcairn required mRNA jabs

They are really making it hard to immigrate to Pitcairn Island. What is Pitcairn Island hiding or protecting? Does Pitcairn Island have the birth rate needed to offset the "suddn death" effect of the required mRNA jabs?

The lack of fresh water would be a concern

Brando was the best Christian but Charles Laughton was the best Capt. Bligh. Too bad they couldn't be in the same film.
It would have been amazing.

yeah when Brando walked on deck with a woman on each arm acting like the snobbiest most effete, dandy ever, you could feel Trevor Howard's jealousy and resentment.

I know it’s off topic, but we don’t get a lot of Trevor Howard references around here.
I always liked him.

Several residents on Pitcairn carry the Christian last name.
