Why is George Soros contributing $500k to a Jackson, MS DA race?

The candidate he is contributing to is all about social justice and not prosecuting young black men who commit crimes - which is the problem in Jackson. The police actually do good work, the DA and the judges let them off.
The other three candidates for this position have raised less than $200,000 combined - and Soros is giving this one guy $500k. Why?

Soros contributes everywhere. His contributions are more impactful when its on races like this one, with low finances overall

Jackson has been a shithole for awhile..I know a lady (no pics) that had a very successful nursing employment agency in Jackson. About 10 years ago she just closed up shop and left. She had been in Jackson for over 20 years.

It is happening all over and it isn't isolated to one party. It is scary AF. It really isn't that difficult for someone that has ties to a foreign country to setup a shell corporation that donates to a PAC and then a SUPER PAC to wash foreign money into American politics.

Someone did a study on Soros funding progressive DA candidates. I can’t remember where I read it but it unveiled that he has or is funding around 200 progressive DA candidates.
Many have been elected.
Aside from that study, I can tell you as a former prosecutor this event is very much a topic of concern amongst my former colleagues.
