The president as Commander in Chief has plenary power to declassify.

its not true. I have no idea where you people got this idea. you sound ridiculous. he cant declassify nuclear information. he cant declassify the identities of spies. he cant declassify intel controlled by the sender. he cant declassify things through clairvoyance.

Hillary Clinton had classified info she manually brought from a secure location (by hand) to her bathroom server. She destroyed phones that were under subpoena. We know this to be true because James Comey came out and said it in a press conference after their investigation. These classified documents may have been taken by foreign powers by hacking her server. Comey said that too. She wasn’t even president and lacked the authority to declassify anything. Nothing happened to her. How are you so sure Trump will be indicted whenever she wasn’t? Because you know that the democrats own the FBI and they are a political tool of the left and they’ll do anything in their power to stop Trump. Your friend Peter Strzok said as much. You guys are the new gestapo. Congrats.

Clearly a legal scholar well read on the history of the Presidents powers and court decisions regarding them.
Although originally you said he didn’t declassify them. Now you’re saying he didn’t have the power to declassify them. Which is it? Get your theories straight there champ, you’re going to blow a gasket.

This is stipulated, POTUS announced declassification numerous times over various platforms. Even Nuc buzzwords have ceased. In the end, we will find POTUS indeed possesses the ability to declass and even possess. However, precedent set, not SecState. (Former)

That is nonsensical. You make this all seem like a game. If he has the EO or Memorandum even, then he should present it. Short circuit the DOJ and force another avenue that they need to try. If he thinks he can play a high stakes game of chicken with the DOJ, he cannot. The DOJ has too many resources and time. Trump does not have those resources......no one does.

No and you are a profound idiot for even thinking that. There are procedures that must be followed. He must issue an EO that overrides another EO . All the other Presidents did that, what makes Trump think he did not have to do it?
If he did that and he was in possession, then ultimately he is in the clear. He can't do it after he is out of office.....the President must have some documentation he declassified
