They're being blackmailed into it.

The $10B/yr company I work for is regrettably destroying the company culture that built it. Forcing woke shite show training on us all the time.

Read about Papa John's Founder and what happens when you don't get in line as a CEO.

For some reason, a newspaper article in the NO Times-Picayune I read in about 1980 comes to mind. It was all about how these late 60s leftist radicals that got themselves arrested at the 1968 Democrat convention in Chicago, like Jerry Rubin had transformed themselves into corporate executives and were steadily marching up the corporate ladder. I think it's probably safe to say that instead of the likes of Jerry Rubin being transformed, they have been doing the transforming of the corporations.

Around 1990, the GI Bill generation were turning 70 and retiring: the univs and corps were taken over by boomer whack jobs and when clinton became prez, the nuts had total control.

Guy on TexAgs has a conversation with an executive at a huge company about it.

LINK

quote:

I talked today with a high ranking executive of a major company. I won't identify the company, to keep my friend anonymous, but he is with one of the following: Coca-Cola, United Airlines, McDonalds or Walgreens.

I asked my friend specifically what is going on with these big businesses who want to alienate one half of their customer base. His answer was that his company knows what it is doing and doesn't care.

The CEO told him, referring to Republicans/conservatives who care about such things, "Those aren't our customers." He said they could produce marketing studies etc. which show that they're better off towing the line of the dominant left wing culture.

My friend doesn't believe the studies, and he has told the board that everyone's money is green, no matter their political party. To no avail.

He also said that some left wing activists are suing some of the board members, and that probably adds to the fear factor (my interpretation). So, there you have it. The big corporations are far more scared of angering the left than they are of losing your business. These are decisions made with open eyes.

Kinda matches what I thought it would be.

An anecdote to that. I know several left wing people. Not hyper progressive by any means but liberal. None of them think voter id is racist. Not a one. Democrats on this board itself don’t think it’s racist.

But the media would have you believe that everybody on the left thinks it is by amplifying the voices of the squeaky wheels. These companies are reacting to amplified voices of a minority.

Hollywood’s been doing this crap as long as I can remember, it’s just seeping over into the corporate world on a large scale now.

But this misses the actual question of WHY this is happening. Why is there a tremendous leftward cultural pressure?

That's the actual question, and it doesn't have anything to do with optimizing profits.

Correct. Hollywood is the clearest example of cultural imposition imaginable. It's controlled almost entirely by a clique of renowned degenerates a with a history of left wing revolutionary action.

In the case of Google it is capitulation to their employees.

The left also has the majority of lawyers, judges. There is also a powerful black market economy: drugs, human trafficking that will be leftist.

I'll agree in collegiate brain washing as a primary factor. We still need to understand how college suddenly forms students into raging lunatics. What changed?

The CCP thing is just cringe. This cultural revolution has been underway for more than a century, you know, back before China was anything more than a backwater.

also, don't underestimate how the indoctrinated millennials believe that what they read on twitter and facebook represents the mindset of all their customers. They have no idea how much media templates are manipulated by fake accounts. China continuously deploys over 3,000 individuals, each having multiple identities, who do nothing but post propaganda in US social media as their full time jobs

Because they look into their immediate and distant futures and are betting who will be in power will continue to pat them on the back and allow them to continue their businesses.
