But why would you choose to represent and win for a country that you supposedly hate? That’s what I don’t get. If you hate this country that much then why do you choose to represent it on the world stage?

I ask this question out of ignorance. Do athletes from other countries compete in international competitions, including the Olympics, and then use their time in the spotlight to sheet all over the motherland? Or is that just an American thing?
Cause if you've had the privilege to represent your country in international competition, I'd say you are living pretty high on the hog relative to your fellow countrymen no matter where home might be.

I watch a lot of soccer and other countries players belt their anthems loudly and proudly. ours kneel and prob dont even know all the words.

You don’t ever see it with any other country. Watching Eurocup the last 9 days and I see every single player singing their national anthem with tons of pride before each match. Black players, white players, all of em. Those countries don’t have perfect pasts either but they know they’re blessed to be where they are and that their country has given them the opportunity to fulfill their dream. Only in America does this shite happen. Bunch of spoiled little brats we have over here.
