There is way too much BS in your responses to rebut and it's not worth my time. You obviously think you were appointed spokesperson for government employees and somehow have vast knowledge (more than others) of how federal employment works.

So in your 'esteemed' opinion government jobs are somehow different because a country can't exist without them. Oh dear, no wonder we part ways right here and now! Government produces nothing and exists ONLY because the populace is paying heavily for its existence. And the feds have long forgotten who they work for and to whom they owe their jobs.

'Is it your job and your ability to take care of your family being put in jeopardy right now, or is it theirs? Some self-awareness and situational awareness would be good to dial into about now.'

Oh my, now you're showing your true colors.
So it's all about FEELINGS, empathy, and all that junk. Am I supposed to feel sorry for them somehow because they are finally facing what people working in the private sector have always faced? Nope. Like I said before, TIME TO GROW UP! You too.

I'm well aware. And unions are evil. Always. And often do not represent the views and positions of their membership. And they have mob connections.

So your point is?

There are too many government employees and the bureaucracy is bloated. Despite your rather weak attempt to justify it, not all are 'critical' and veterans are, despite the bloated labor ranks, still severely under-served and neglected.

So the bloated ranks need to be reduced and the government needs to learn how to function more efficiently, just like private industry.

Your response reminds me of the bumper stickers that proclaim 'War is not the answer.' How cute! Everyone's a peacenik. WHAT IS THE ANSWER? It's easy to rain on someone else's solutions without coming up with some of your own.

I agree with everything you said and I’m a retired state employee with 32 years of service. Even military personnel get “laid off” when there is a RIF or don’t achieve certain career goals in a prescribed amount of time.

Well if you thought veterans are being under served before get ready becuz it’s about to get worse…..situational awareness is extremely important. Yes change the system so that employees who are not doing there jobs can more efficiently exit the system, that’s the real issue ; and that should apply to city and state government employees as well.

Get rid of DOD in DC.

It's the only way this imaginary idea that you have about the the govt makes any sense.

Look up the proportion of federal employees that work in DOD.

So I'm 'imagining' that the government's employment ranks are bloated?!?!

The bloated starts with DOD.

Think of how many veterans work in DOD.

All you have to do is type in (insert government job) and "charged with embezzlement" and you'll get plenty of results. Keep licking those boots buddy.

Why am I a boot locker? You stated that all government employees are corrupt which I know is false. I am not corrupt nor are most of the people I work with. I have a high work ethic and strive to give my best each and every day at the job I have been entrusted. I don’t think I’m permanently entitled to my job and am glad I have a supervisor that holds me accountable.
