Young Women like having risky sex knowing that abortion is a fall back in case something bad happens. College aged women are the most prolific participants in hookup culture.

A relatively small number of college aged men are the ones actually having this sex, so they sorta care, and a slightly larger share of college aged (and slightly older) men aspire to have sex with these women and think that by “empathizing” with them they can “respect” their way into their pants, also have to virtue signal how much they care.

Additionally, LGBT folks, ironically, care A LOT about this ruling because they fear that the overturning of Roe v. Wade endangers Obergefell v. Hodges, so they’re up in arms about it too. The percentage of folks identifying as LGBT goes up the closer to college age they are, so that probably explains why the under 25 demographic cares so much about this issue.

Finally, hs and college aged people are the ones whose lives are most likely to be turned upside down by an unplanned pregnancy. Young men and women often are forced to drop out of school to have/raise children and work to support them. Giving up long term career goals for short term money and stability can essentially throttle careers literally in the womb.

So, it’s natural that the demographic which has the most “to lose” from an unplanned pregnancy, and is the most likely to be engaging in the behavior leading to such a scenario, would be most alarmed that abortion, a “safeguard” against accidentally creating a life, is being potentially removed.

The first 4 replies to OP are exactly the answer. They've been taught to be outraged by left wing academia, they want to "get involved" and scream in the streets, and they want to frick with no fear of going through pregnancy. Some of these people were going to prom a year ago, they're completely ignorant children and not only are they being brainwashed they are being straight up lies to by everybody. They literally think the word abortion is in the constitution

b/c they are told that if they get pregnant b/c they are not responsible that a baby will ruin their life and that if there are complications that they will just have to die trying to save the baby.

I guess they truly believe that no doctor in the US will not take the mothers health into consideration.
