Why do Americans allow scandals to act this way yet still trust them?

It is extremely obvious we have been lied to by an entire industry motivated with holding on to electoral power. There is no doubt in my mind they laugh at our ignorance for putting up with their deceit.
Currently, the industry that has worked so diligently and complicitly to hide the deception is also tasked with finding another path to remain in power. Americans, meanwhile, wait patiently for this industry of deception to throw them another tit of manipulation to suck on.
If you appreciate deception, please, by all means, stay the course. I would love to know how you explain it to your friends and family.

You’ve got to hand it to MIT economist Jonathan Gruber. The guy dubbed the “Obamacare architect” is a viral YouTube sensation. A few months back, he was caught on tape admitting that Obamacare doesn’t provide subsidies for federally-run insurance exchanges; it's now the topic of a new case before the Supreme Court. I live in northwest Louisiana, this year I’ve seen these green energy wackos clear 300 or more acres of prime hardwoods to install solar panel farms. The wildlife has reacted accordingly, predators and prey both pushing into city limits looking for food. These same corporate welfare mongrels are also destroying close to 500 acres of farmland for more solar farms. Not one company would or could pull this off without taxpayer dollars. I work in the oil and gas industry, so we have a plugging bond to deal with our wells in the event that the company sells or leaves. These solar farms have no such requirements and as we are learning from other states after the federal dollars are gone, so is the maintenance and cleanup of these solar dumps.
The next idiotic thing this state is about to do is pump CO2 into the ground under a lake…..the same CO2 that plants need for life……what could go wrong here.

I remember my first employer, who was a Dutch-Lebanese man from Beirut, would often state 95% of Americans are simply stupid. Of course I found it offensive and wondered how he could be so adamant about it.
Maybe he was right.

You don’t understand what is going on here. They are not trying to lower the CO2 level below what it was in, say, the 1980’s. And there were plants back then. I know because I was there.
The “what could go wrong” about CO2 sequestration has nothing to do with feeding plants; it is that a CO2 leak could suffocate people. It’s not a huge threat, but if you want to pick on something, besides it being unnecessary, than that’s your target.
