Obama wants to depose Assad and the Russians assumed Hillary would continue that effort. Trump was more likely to either surgically target IS or just decide (correctly) that we have no dog in the fight. Those outcomes coincide with Russia's interests.

No surprise the majority of Western Europe wanted Hillary to win.
My best speculation is Russia views Trump as a destabilizing force in the American political system and destabilizing your primary opposition is always preferred to congruent stability. This gives Russia some room to work on expanding their hegemony in Europe and Asia.

Whining about russia is dumb. You have every major network for the last 16yrs anti Republicans and your whining about a few websites and conspiracy theories. Most people just got tired of hearing a one sided govt controlled media.
As for email hack - it should have been no big deal but showed just how corrupt our media and govt can be. Don't blame Russia when you wanted to be like them. I believe their govt and media are one in the same. That's what you wanted but it got destroyed in this election. The msm will never be the same. It's time for a new media to rise up. Hopefully one without an agenda or at least two with equal voices. The only reason fox wins ratings is because they are the only channel that is different.
