Cause he can and free speech. Elon is all about improving the human condition...or he'll be our worst enemy. I think it's the first. He shite bombs Gates, Bezos, Biden etc. He DGAF. Nice to see the richest man in the world is an autistic, smartass troll.

Well 1st he could afford it and second maybe he believes in freedom of speech and truth. My hope at least.

He could have completely altruistic goals, or he's going to make enough changes to bring enough conservatives over while losing fewer liberals. Once the stock price goes up, he could flip it for tens of billions of dollars. We'll just have to see how it goes.

I really do think it's as simple as this. He's in a position to actually do the things most of us wish we could do. So he does.
Plus, I'm sure, it'll be worth the investment either financially or for it's intrinsic value.

The other was that the entire world needs to be able to have a forum to make any (legal) statement that they also can trust to be free of censorship.
