is happening today

I don't see how this kerfuffle can possibly help the GOP - seems like it could have been put off until Wednesday.

What was the hurry??

OR - does someone think that canning the SOS the day of the election would actually HELP the GOP???

There's an upcoming meeting with the leader of a hostile foreign country that has nuclear weapons.

I can see a lot of fence sitters being negatively influenced by the seeming chaos. (bad for GOP)

I think one of the hardest things for people that follow politics closely to realize is that most people don’t really give a shite.

A Secretary of State leaving isn’t having any effect on this election.

Trump is a psychopath.

Take the bad with the good.
He's not Mrs Clinton.

Been in and out this afternoon - heard a snippet of that.

I will reserve judgement until more comes out from credible people. I have too high a regard for Tillerson to take this as a possibility until evidence proves me wrong. Would hate to know he was involved with something like that, but if it was the case, then yeah - get his arse out of their unceremoniously ASAP.

But am far for convinced about it.

GOP is probably going to lose this one. Apparently Lamb is from a family with a long history of politics in that district. The guy is also retired military and is pretty moderate. Also the district is 50,000 plus Democrat registration over Republicans. A couple of more things, Lamb is young and charismatic compared to his Republican opponent and he has union backing. The same unions that voted for Trump.

The GOP candidate is not very good. I would be really surprised if Lamb loses tonight. He has a lot in his favor.

I agree - but I was hoping for a miracle.

I am not even expecting it to be close now.

That was my first thought when I heard Tillerson had been fired.

If Lamb wins by a slim margin I am gonna be really pissed.

If it is a blowout, no angst.

Instead of blaming Trump how about the GOP come up with better candidates to run.

You can't win the Kentucky Derby if you are riding a mule.

The dude's a 4-term incumbent who won his last re-election by 37. This isn't Roy Moore.
