Why can't we just pull out of the middle east entirely? Why the hell are we still there?

If we werent there, Iran wouldn't have any way of being able to target us or our troops.
Tired of the MIC in this country forcing stupid overseas wars onto us just so they can line their pocketbooks. But for their agenda to work they need ignorant idiots to believe that such wars are "PATRIOTISM"

Why don't we do this..withdraw all our troops and business interests from any place outside San Antonio to LA and north to the Canadian border. Completely open the borders and put out a sign that says: "Yall Come". And immediately start Russian and Chinese language classes cause you'll need to speak one or both to you new bossman within a short time. That'll also clear up any and all political bickering, business competition, shut down the 9th circuit and get Nancy Pelosi, AG Barr, and so forth off TV. End LSU's losing streak to Alabama and break up both the Pats and Bama. So much can be accomplished simply by withdrawing and going home and hiding under the bed covers.

Oil, money, and location.
I find it stupid too, but we cannot give up that location after all of what we have spent there and who is in that region. Leaving would hurt us more than what it would benefit us.
