False. Ever heard of Freiburg? Look it up. This history link will help you. Study your history. LINK

"Freiburg was the first non-military target to be bombed during World War II......referred to in Hitler's 1942 Reichstag speech."

beg to differ...greatly. What we did to Tokyo and Dresden saved American soldiers' lives.

Dresden had absolutely zero military interest. That was pure Old Testament genocidal spite.

Japan was going to surrender - no serious person today thinks otherwise. We didn't need to do it.

Of course it was FDR that did all he could (and knew in advance) to provoke the Japs to bomb PH. We had no national interest in going to war in Europe either - 80+% of the country was vehemently opposed to it.

that prevented our own lives and millions more being taken by Japan and Germany

Hiroshima/Nagasaki was estimated to have saved the 12 million plus it would have taken for a land assault of Japan - no serious person has opined that the Japanese were suddenly going to change from being the military psychotics loyal to a dictatorial emperor that THEY HAD DEMONSTRATED the prior years.

Bataan
Invasion of China
Invasion of Phillipines
Atrocities the world had rarely received until Japan unleashed the bloodlust of a psychotic army

It's an absolute myth (conjured to explain away the atrocities) that Japan wasn't going to surrender until we nuked them.

Absolutely Japan was going to surrender...eventually. Until they did, however, hundreds of thousands of American lives would have been lost and wounded. Firebombing Tokyo and other cities helped to speed up their surrender and further weaken Japan's war industry, thus saving American lives. Do you not understand that?

I suggest that you present your comment to any surviving Pacific theater combat veteran (if you can find one) for their opinion. I have.

What we did to Tokyo was necessary to save millions of American lives. Japan was not going to surrender and they were actively arming and training their civilian population to fight to the death.

I have no qualms about the truth. We were lied into that war. Our "representative government" did all they could to provoke an attack. It was a disaster for our entire civilization.

The Great Replacement is a direct lineage from 1945.

That's just a myth you've been told.

Has either one of them been deemed “ok” or even used in the last 78 years?

Why are you making up this premise?

Oh look someone that sees the shitshow of a lying government we have today and thinks hey it wasn't always this way. That war that we teamed up with SOVIET COMMUNISM was all gravy!

With posts such as you are making here, it is apparent that you are just a troll. Post less.

My grandmother survived for a week in a burn unit before eventually passing.

Both nukes and fire bombing are horrific acts of war. However, war is hell.

Or like us complaining about the rape of Nanking, and then doing the same to germany post-war.

You have no idea what you are talking about. The japanese were fricking animals in Nanjing. What they did in Nanjing and throughout the Pacific justified another half dozen nukes - at least.

War
Is
Hell

In answer to the OP, having to out 100s of aircraft and over 1000 aircrew at risk (that could be defended by aircraft and AA) is far different than a single plane and a single bomb.

Not only do nukes destroy their targets but would have a
world wide radiation threat.Radiation gets in the jet
stream and can contaminate every country.
