If we really want to drain the swamp, isn't this an obvious place to start? Those in it for themselves will quickly move on if they can't participate in insider trading.

I agree with everything you said.

We finally have someone who is at least willing to try and drain the swamp.

We have been screwed on trade , American taxpayers have gotten stuck being the sugar daddy for NATO and the climate bullshite.

Trump has at least tried to right the wrongs against people like you and I.

But , you hate him . Maybe it's because he's rough around the edges and fights back.

Just remember , those politically correct pussies you like from the past , were allowing other countries to frick over the American taxpayer. They were the swamp.

Trump is part of the swamp. His businesses are making money due to him being president. He is going to leave office with more wealth then he entered. Because of name recognition alone.

His kids running his businesses is proof of this.

I never said you're lying.

I said the premise of your thread is incorrect based on out-of-date information. That is clearly the case. No doubt.

Congressmen CAN be prosecuted for insider trading. Your OP says they can't.

I'm right. You're wrong.

Lesser of 3 evils

I'd rather help a 3rd party gain momentum than vote for evil people like Obama, Romney, Clinton, or Trump.

How about no stock trading of any kind while holding public office? And you have to disclose all investments while campaigning. Also you must recuse yourself from any vote that would be considered a conflict of interest due to your investments in said industry.

Another possibility - if a Congress critter's investments overperforming the market, they get taxed 100% on the excess amount. So they can insider trade all they want but the benefits go to the taxpayers.

I found a lie.

See how that works? Quoting lies and pointing them out. My OP never said they cant be prosecuted for insider trading. You made that up. My OP outlines how they can participate in insider trading without breaking the law. You are just too dense and too giddy to tell me I'm wrong to accept that. I'll take the apology you owe me whenever you're ready.

Isn't that another way of saying "Why can't they be prosecuted for insider trading?"?

I'm not the one who started a thread based on incorrect information. You did.

And I'm not giddy at all. I'm merely confident that I'm right. And I'm just as confident you're wrong.

I've provided two links which support my statements and refute your statements.

You inferred something that wasnt there. That's on you dude.

My information is correct. You have yet to quote my lie. I'll ask you again for the 3rd time, quote my lie.

Confidence doesnt make you right. Being right makes you right. Which I am. You are right too with the link you posted. But you're wrong to tell me I'm wrong.

They dont refute my statements. Show me the statement they refute. So 4 times now I've asked.

His businesses were dominating before he was Prez so this is dumb. And I'd say the hate has probably hurt his biz

Being president has helped this. You cant deny that. It's a simple fact that the leader of the free world is one of the most recognizable names in the world regardless of who it is.
