The least damaging. They can pull some junk and we don't need them setting up the worst kook possible.

The left has been funneling in voters from South of the border, now that might slow some...they may go back to letting the dead vote. They could also go hard for a voter app to yield record turnout.

Rand and Ron Paul are every bit as unserious and unrealistic about American foreign policy as the chickenhawk neocons in the GOP are.

She doesn't play the muh Russians game, as she opposes the new Cold War with Russia that Dems want and she's a foreign policy non-interventionist, which drives the corporatist Dems at MSNBC and CNN crazy.

Thanks SCL! I really know nothing about her. I've heard the name, but thats about it.

Warren would be easiest to beat IMO

Harris would be toughest to beat despite having some obvious flaws early on

I'll grant you Papa Paul, but Rand is every bit the pragmatist in this regard. He's just not going to get any juice from the MIC.

I love and respect Rand, even voted for him for president but I've concluded that while he's definitely an improvement over his dad, he isn't a whole lot better when it comes to maintaining American supremacy in the theater of geopolitics against Russia and China, especially when Moscow and Beijing is forming one hell of a partnership that's going to be trouble for us.

With that said, my two problems with the chickenhawk neocons and loony isolationists are as follows.

Neocons don’t understand human nature and do not respect the limits of American power and the blowback that it creates by forcing it in 3rd world countries that was only kept stable by a dictator or oppressive religion in islam, destabilizes and creates millions of refugees, misery and trillions of dollars down the drain.

The Paulites and isolationist libertarians don’t understand that the United States has national interests, allies in Europe and the mideast and responsibilities as the leading superpower of western civilization against geopolitical foes in Russia, China and yes even Iran which by the way requires a stable coalition of mideast states that includes Saudi Arabia and Israel.

You know who else is not going to get that either?

Ted Cruz because he has the same positions that I do being an interventionist skeptical hawk.

You keep repeating this, but the non-interventionist wing of the Republican Party has argued against every foreign policy blunder this country has been involved in for a long time. Iraq was a disaster, Afghanistan is a disaster, Libya is a disaster, Syria is a disaster, Yemen is a disaster, Egypt is a disaster. Everywhere we stick our nose, coups and wars follow.

Ron Paul himself, at a press conference in 1998 during the Clinton impeachment hearings, predicted 9-11 due to our reckless interventions. Michael Scheuer, the former head of the Bin Laden Unit, has been clear that our foreign policy has nothing to do with protecting us or our interests. They are as serious as serious can be about not wasting American lives in conflicts we have no business fighting. Their opposition to permanent undeclared war doesn't make them unserious.

I think Iraq One could have played out well if we had backed off just a bit and given some time to see what unfolded.

Open borders can only mean USA troops vs the cartels.

Doesn't make sense otherwise

I'm partial to Tulsi, but that's because she doesn't play the rah-rah enthusiasm, curated media game. She has a 0% chance IMO.

The first one led by Bush 41 was not.

That was a smart exercise of geopolitics and restraint that chickenhawks refuse to practice.

They kept asking 41 why he refused to go after Saddam in Iraq when he had him on the ropes. They stopped asking him that question sometime around 2004-07.

Bush 41 was about as good as it gets for foreign policy in the GOP and a model to follow. His handling of the fall of the USSR and german reunification was fantastic too.

Reagan is up there as well.

Agreed.

There was no legit reason to go all in to the level we did today.

The only case I can see being made is syria to decimate ISIS and that's it. Leave Assad alone.

That's a proxy war with Iran for control of the straits, the gulfs, and Arabian sea.

Egypt is a disaster.

Agreed.

The arab spring was a neolib disaster that only benefited our geopolitical adversaries.

You know who else does this?

Russia, China and Iran. They're sticking their noses in our own hemisphere propping up a failed state in Venezuela.

The Maduro regime has supported terrorists, given shelter to Hezbollah, and acted as a staging point for illegal migrants. The regime recently allowed Russian supersonic strategic nuclear bombers to use its airports. And they sell a lot of oil to china and NoKo as well iirc. It's been colluding with China and Russia to harm our strategic interests.

Geopolitics today is the world's super powers using proxy states as a battlefield against each other.

Biden is the most readily electable and Warren the least. I'm leaning toward Beto he's from my home state, and is electable.

Least harmful, so, Hillary.

I'm sorry, but she's less bad than all of the ones out there right now.

How would that work? The cartels are not the ones who would face the troops. If the cartels even sensed that was being set up they would send waves of kids and babies crawling across the border with a swarm of photographers with close ups of crying children and scowling troops.
