As for the police; do you really think they will side with the people who have started a revolt against them?
I understand that a president may be crazy and give an unlawful order; but I would say, 9/10 times this is not going the way the left has planned.

We swore an oath to country.
I can tell my officers to get bent if I think their orders aren't legitimate. I better be sure because there will be hell to pay, but if you think soldiers are just going to blindly follow Trump if there was ever an insurrection in this country you are in for a world of disappointment.

Exactly. The UCMJ permits us to refuse to follow unlawful orders, even if they come from the President. This isn't a difficult concept to grasp.

I don't even know if we'd have ANTIFA-level protests from the right. I expect things like that from the left because liberalism is a mental disease and the left are batshite crazy, but all of the Trump voters I know are normal level-headed people who have jobs and stuff.

The OP asked who they would side with.
So, if Trump is removed, Pence takes over. Pence gives an order to "stand down"; they aren't going to follow that order?
There IS A REASON, that this is included in the oath. Keep fighting that good fight!
