McCarthy was trash and thankfully thrown out. I think anyone who pays attention knew well in advance he was part of the swamp. Look up his bio. He is the very definition of a career politician. Hardly had any sort of professional career that wasn't heavily in the political arena.

Now it appears people like MTG and some on this board was Mike Johnson booted.

Who is someone who can realistically get the votes that should be next if we want Johnson gone?

Pelosi was a cast iron bitch when she was speaker. I say the Republicans should go full tilt reprisal and make MTG the speaker.

I know this sounds hopeless, but at this point it doesn't matter. Anyone truly standing for the best interests of "we the people" would not be popular in Congress and would find very little cooperation to get anything meaningful accomplished among the uniparty. It's a terrible circumstance and one that is increasingly destroying faith in government. Once that loss of faith reaches a certain level, there will remain only one option for the people to be heard by their government. I don't know how long that will take, a year, years, or generations.... but it's coming.

An engineer. Actually had a professional career outside of politics, looks like a significant one and successful one, before getting into the political game.

I like it.

Can he get the votes?

ETA: Not that I support removing Mike Johnson. I don’t.

But if MTG and others get their wish, I’d just like to know who else could be up that isn’t a McCarthy career politician type.

There haven’t yet been enough RINOS removed from DC that they’ll be able to effectively prevent any America First type from assuming the role.

MJ will not be booted!

Mainly bc literally no other Republican can get the votes.

It is more likely that a couple of the RINOs that are resigning from Congress would vote for Hakeem Jeffries and we would have a Democrat Speaker

This is my hope, because yes, another round of this could definitely backfire.

Rand Paul is the best Senator. He could never get elected Majority Leader. Ditto with Massie in the House.

What faction is calling for Mike’s head?

Does that faction have some one on deck to take his spot and get stuff done?

You're probably correct. Hakeem would love to help Joe turn America into the hopeless dumpster fire they envision.

Who cares.
This government is a disaster and is beyond fixable. This country is unfixable.

Its not going to matter. The situation is unworkable, some cant accept that so we have this non stop revenge tour going on in the midst of an election.

I think all parties involved benefit from the current dysfunction, including the two candidates.
