Bush was the one that started the religion of peace rhetoric

What's possibly more disturbing is that most people today think that the answer to religious zealots is other religious zealots.

As I recall, Bush stupidly called this a Crusade. That sort of language got amplified not only by his detractor, Marxist Democrats, but also by the Islamic nut jobs. He knew this would happen and yet his writers & he did it anyways. Then he pulled back and refused to call the Muslim terrorist for what they were.

It was a shite show of one mistake after another.

Here’s an idea. Why not just refuse play the religious game at all. Simply be pragmatic and say these nut jobs who believe in 72 virgins aren’t going to win this. End of story.

get a load of how the left is responding - the tired old 'Republicans attack!!!' shtick never gets old

MAGA lashes out as Muslim Army vet who saved senator's life wins Dem primary
quote:

Republican lawmakers and right-wing commentators erupted Tuesday night after Dr. Adam Hamawy, a progressive plastic surgeon and Army veteran, won the Democratic primary in New Jersey's 12th Congressional District — zeroing in on his decades-old association with a convicted terrorist cleric while largely ignoring his military record and the endorsements of major progressive figures.

Hamawy, 56, who lives in South Brunswick and runs a plastic surgery practice in Princeton, defeated a crowded field of a dozen candidates to succeed retiring Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman. The Associated Press projected his victory late Tuesday.

His win quickly triggered alarm on the right over his past ties to Omar Abdel-Rahman, the "Blind Sheikh" convicted on terrorism and seditious conspiracy charges whose followers carried out the 1993 World Trade Center bombing. Hamawy, then a medical student in his 20s, testified in Abdel-Rahman's defense in 1995, had accompanied him on a 1991 trip from New Jersey to Michigan where Abdel-Rahman spoke of "conquering the land of the infidels," and acknowledged translating a document for the cleric's press conference even after the bombing.

of course this leftist nitwit has no problem whatsoever with those terrorist ties. these morons are beyond disgusting.

oh, but we should forgive and forget because this terrorist loon saved Daffy Duckworth
quote:

What the meltdown largely glossed over: Hamawy is an Army National Guard veteran whom Sen. Tammy Duckworth (D-IL) has credited with saving her life after her Blackhawk helicopter was shot down in Iraq in 2004. He also worked as a first responder at Ground Zero following the 9/11 attacks. He earned endorsements from Sen. Bernie Sanders and Rep. Ro Khanna, along with support from a new pro-Palestinian super PAC that spent $2 million on his behalf after he volunteered at a Gaza hospital during the war.

Byron Bojangles, VOR, Hank, cubbies, Decatur, and tboy would love to vote for Rahman. The best America is a diverse America that forgives terrorists and elects them.

And then turn around and go and piss on Beamer's grave.

Didn’t take very long at all. Especially when then President Bush all but refused to call out the attackers by their cult religion. He instead masked it behind ‘terror’,

I listen to old episodes of Howard Stern during work sometimes, and had on his broadcasts from 9/11 and 9/12 recently.

Stern and the rest of the cast were shouting to nuke the Middle East off the face of the earth. To stop all immigration and pull visas. Accusing our government of being "too liberal" in handling "these people". Stern called out Hamas and said we should have eradicated Palestine after the '72 Olympics. Robin said we have to kill them all before they kill us.

It was wild rhetoric to hear from terrestrial radio in retrospect (especially considering how pussified Stern became), but they were absolutely correct. It's crazy how our country lost this resolve in 25 short years.
