The premise of your question is based on a false assumption. Global warming has not been proven.

Dr. John R. Since November 2000 he has been Alabama's State Climatologist. In 1989 Dr. Roy W. Spencer (then a NASA/Marshall scientist and now a Principal Research Scientist at UAH) and Christy developed a global temperature data set from microwave data observed from satellites beginning in 1979. For this achievement, the Spencer-Christy team was awarded NASA's Medal for Exceptional Scientific Achievement in 1991. In 1996, they were selected to receive a Special Award by the American Meteorological Society "for developing a global, precise record of earth's temperature from operational polar-orbiting satellites, fundamentally advancing our ability to monitor climate." In January 2002 Christy was inducted as a Fellow of the American Meteorological Society.

First there needs to be real proof humans are the cause of "global warming".

You lose a lot of credibility when you claim "manmade global warming" is the root cause every natural disaster, Terrorism, poverty, and it's racist among many other things.

You also lose credibility when your green energy solutions are not green at all.

Smart people don’t feel a need to advocate against something so foolish and contrived. Corporates do because of the warm and fuzzies it gives to the idiots and in turn the money that it makes them. The yield is some Karen puttering down the road in a bitch arse Prius with a coexist sticker emanating how much a fool they be, in the bumper.

When I was in 8th grade in 1978, we watched a film in class on the evils of fluorocarbons and how they were destroying the ozone layer. This would cause excessive heat in the atmosphere eventually causing our coasts to crumble into the oceans. I’m 58 and still none of this has happened.

It’s amazing to me that any adult with an IQ above about 115 could believe in climate change.

You're consistently wrong, so I take this as a compliment.

The part that troubles me is: You're not a blind partisan on every single issue. Why die on this scammy, bullshite hill?

The climate changes. That's why they retconned "global warming" to "climate change," because that way when the climate changes, as it has done for millions of years, they can say "see, humans did that." "Climate change" with respect to the weather and certain social trends fits more or less into the place where ordinary people used to say "God," or before that, "the gods." That's also why people have been so quick to believe in it.

I am cynical and don't trust ANYBODY who tells me that I have to believe something that can't be proven and with no discussion - epecially when it involves billions and trillions of dollars that I am expected to contribute to and there is no clear plan on how that money is to be spent. Asking everyone to sacrifice so that a few can get rich(er) is a definite red flag for me.

I don't believe the argument when it is extremely one-sided. If global warming is occurring, why doesn't anybody talk about the positives? Surely, there are positives to the earth warming, no? We are so focused on stopping it that we don't even have a debate as to the advantages of a warmer earth. Maybe the earth warming a few degrees is a net positive.

Nor do we have a discussion as to the best solution. How about planting more trees? How about building oxygen scrubbers in cities that generate greenhouse gas emissions? That would certainly be better for our economy than the proposed solutions, right?

I didn't believe the global warming clarion calls, especially after none of the predictions they made came to fruition.

I am a reasonable and credible person and I am not saying that humans absolutely do not contribute to global warming. I just believe that global warming is not the catastrophic crisis that it is made out to be.

It was a brilliant, yet indefensible pivot. The sheep, largely, don't even see it.

Here's a rhetorical tendency I discovered 40 years ago:
Anytime one side says 'The debate is over' it means they're lying. When you are defending the truth you welcome the debate.

The only thing that stays the same, is everything changes.. just like the climate.
