If Intel says they provided the Intel
If Mil supposedly knows how to conduct Operations
If Biden isn't necessarily supposed to coordinate tactical plans and strategy

General Frank McKenzie took over command from General Scott Miller a few weeks ago.

The military was already basically done, the pull out was done. <-----

Not sure what the question is.

Where it went wrong is Biden didn't think the Taliban would win or win that quickly, thereby leaving the civilians in harms way.

From that article

quote:

President Joe Biden ordered the withdrawal of US forces from Afghanistan over the advice of some of his senior-most advisers in the Pentagon and State Department, leaders who are now charged with carrying out the particulars of the complicated drawdown.

Multiple current and former officials tell CNN that those advisers -- including Chairman of the Joint Chiefs Gen. Mark Milley, leader of US Central Command Gen. Frank McKenzie and some State Department officials -- expressed concerns about what a full withdrawal might mean for the US counter-terror mission. They also expressed concern about the security of US diplomats based there.

All relevant points of view were heard and all arguments were put on the table," said one senior administration official who spoke to CNN on condition of anonymity.

Cant blame Trump

quote:

Going back to the previous administration, when President Donald Trump was also considering a withdrawal, US military leaders set a floor of some 2,500 US troops to provide counter-terror support and diplomatic security.

Biden unilaterally went against his generals advice. Advice that Trump planned to follow.

Biden owns this shite show 100%

Your post is exactly the question.

Anyone in Intel or the orgs involved in Afghanistan for 20 years had any input on this might be a shitshow?

Biden is involved in coordination of evacuations other than signing off on a plan?

Who told the Mil to get out first and this whole logistical schedule?

Intel and logistics? They didn’t think about that because they believed the Taliban would allow a gentleman’s withdrawal. It never occurred to them that the Taliban lied.

Intel provides Intel, correct?
OK - does Mil use that to execute operations?

How does this sign-off process work? I'm not naive to bureaucracy - but for the purposes of discussion - what "theoretically" happens?

How do Austin/Milley/Biden fit into this?
