Yeah, no.

I’m not asking for permission to protect myself, my family and other parishioners.

I’d rather beg forgiveness than to ask permission.

God forbid I ever have to use it in church, but I don’t think the church leadership will have a problem with it.

All I’m saying is you’ll want to be on good terms with the leadership. They can report you if you’re carrying without permission and you’ll be fricked.

If you’re in Louisiana you need permission from the church leadership to carry. My BIL does but I don’t.

shall not.

And I’m quite sure over 50% of the men in there carry, as well.

I’m curious as to what makes you think that? Do y’all talk about it?

Ridiculous.

It is church property. Same as any other private enterprise, its up to them if they want guns on the premises--not you.

This latest shooting incident did indeed involve a gunman shooting into a church.

He apparently was unable to enter the church during the service so he resorted to shooting through the windows.

I doubt there were many adults among the attendees as this was a Mass for children at the school and if you attended parochial school you know what I am talking about.

Anyway, I doubt any of those children were packing not that it mattered because the gunman chose to shoot himself rather than engage.

Until, you know, someone decides to shoot the place up. Then, I suppose they could be asked why they disarmed the law-abiding.

I go to a country church with about 40 people usually in attendance. The men are almost exclusively farmers, loggers or tradesmen. It’s a safe assumption.

Be on good terms with your pastor or keep it completely hidden

I’ve seen the drama that comes when unauthorized people are caught with firearms and it’s a very conservative 2A friendly church.

Not to mention shootings are rare. Driving is much more dangerous.

I don’t personally, but that is only because there are already several members that are already carrying at my church.

And since I sometimes have to go onto an arsenal for work, I have to be very judicious on when I carry because if I accidentally leave it in my truck, and happen to get searched at the arsenal gate, I’ll be up a creek without a paddle.

I never have. But on Sunday and the Vigil mass, we have several off duty law enforcement officers from a few different agencies fully strapped.

Occasionally one might be present during an all school mass.

You’re also probably responsible around firearms.

I’m talking about people that Mexican carry and their gun falls out of their waistband out of their pew and onto the feet of the person behind them.

Or taking their gun out before/after service while in the building.

Lots of dumb shite and the pastor cracked down and forbade anyone not authorized from carrying and threatened legal action.
