This is what the 'conservatives' who say Ellen Page and the black Helen of Troy were each only in the movie for 5 minutes so it doesn't matter don't understand. You give them an inch, and they take a mile, and ruin another IP like Blade Runner.
It's just one fly in the mashed potatoes, so I will eat around it because the rest is still good; then next thing you know it's all flies and no mashed potatoes.
Anthony Hopkins was only in Silence of the Lambs for 15 minutes, but you wouldn't call his character inconsequential.
Either it all matters, or none of it matters.
We have been making progress on the woke agenda, then a bunch of people who claim to hate the woke era gave in to go see a Nolan film and reaffirmed to Hollywood they can still change stories, and/or history, have gender benders as characters, and race swap, etc, and as long as the right people are attached, you will eat their shite sandwich.
I know this new Blade Runner began shooting before The Odyssey premiered, but the point is all around valid. People claim to want change but keep giving in.
Looking at you all who still watch the NFL religiously.

No. IIRC, they believe that sex and gender are two different things, so you can have a penis but still claim to be a female and vice versa. Nothing about it is based in reality.
