Anecdotal, but my sister has been in the ER twice with my mother, not covid related, and people keep coming in saying they think they had covid. NONE of them appear to be sick. They are given some type of drip while sitting there playing with their phones. All women. All white.

A nurse told me that they have some repeat customers who get tested every few days, some almost every day.

They’re almost all middle aged white women.

A NP at an urgent care clinic told me the same. Some ppl getting tested over and over testing positive multiple times.

Just going to your PCP for a regular visit requires a China Flu test at some places

My wife was sick a couple weeks ago. High fever headaches etc. It lasted 5 days. She didn't get tested because there's no reason to. She's a nurse and is capable of telling me what she needs. So short of going in the hospital I don't see any reason to get tested.

We have 18 people out sick with covid at work. 1 is in the hospital and 8 of those guys have been vaccinated

Another question may be...where to be tested? Since the focus has become on the vaccine, the testing sites have disappeared, well at least as regards here.

If you're either and experiencing symptoms, there shouldn't be that much doubt that you're sick.

The symptoms can be largely nonspecific at first (sometimes throughout the illness). Most rational people like to know that they have Covid specifically so that they can prepare for the rest of the course and minimize the infection of other people at a time where our hospital systems are being stretched incredibly thin.

It’s not rocket science.

Hospitals in Baton Rouge and New Orleans are currently restricting elective procedures requiring a hospital stay, and we’ve still got irrational individuals who think these things are just part of some broad conspiracy. It’s insane.

Wife is still getting over bronchitis, but in order to be seen at hospital in town, needs to be tested first.

I'm almost willing to bet most of these cases are coming from that.

That, but also people who spike a fever during a global pandemic tend to go get their noses swabbed. And they should.

If you're vaccinated and aren't feeling sick, why would you ever get tested?

I’ve been vaccinated and tested 50ish times since being vaccinated.

Mine is all work related and sometimes requires 2 test a day.

However, my peer group is very small and not reflective of the general population.

I will say that one of my kids was sick a few weeks ago and the ped office demanded a CV19 test. 3 months ago, another kid of mine had the same symptoms but the same office did not push the test.

I wonder how many of them used WebMD's symptom checker and concluded they "researched" it and rushed to get a test.
