There seem to be so many topics on Kanye and I don't get it. As a Trump supporter I don't give a flip about what Kanye has to say one way or the other and you shouldn't either. Why we, "the American public", seem to care what a rapper/musician, actor or other "celebrity" has to say about politics does not make any sense to me. They have their opinions just like I have mine and theirs are no more special nor informed than mine.

It seems that if you agree with a "celebrity" on an issue you hoist them up but if you disagree with them you tear them down. (Kanye has played both sides over the past decade and both sides seem to eat him up. WHY???? Dude is a flake) At the end of the day they are famous for something that does not involve politics or trying to run the country so why do you give them more credence than the regular Joe Schmo?

I'll stick to making my own decisions about politics and let the "entertainers" stick to entertaining.

TL:DR Who actually cares what Kanye says one way or the other.

Replying to you and the others that said they "care". Did you care enough to support him when he said GW Bush hated black people? Or is this caring just now that he seems to support Trump? I know that opinions and stances change over time but he still said that and I take everything he says with a large grain of sea salt. I think hes just trying to keep his name in the spotlight and will say whatever is considered most provocative to say at the time.

I just think it’s funny that a black guy steps out of the line and the people who claim they are tolerant are ready to burn him at the stake within seconds. The hipocracy is staggering

People care (MSM) because he's black and married to the biggest celebrity whore on the planet with millions of twitter followers and like Trump.

So if he supports Trump that gets attention and irks the MSM.

Because two high profile celebrities are supporting Trump.

It occurred to me that when rappers, rock stars, and actors are critical of a Republican the response is often one of "shut up and play" / "no one cares what any rapper, rock star, or actor has to say in regard to politics!"

Steve Earle is actually one of my favorite artists. He’s become so politically vocal at his live shows; I can’t even go see him anymore. But it doesn’t make me not listen to him anymore. Nor does it make me think he’s mentally unstable. We just disagree on shite politically. You know?

Like it used to be.

This is a bit different; I suspect. And no one on the left was bitching about Hollywood spouting off during the 2016 election.

Its not about his feelings for President Trump. He’s speaking truth. He’s waking people up to the evils of Hollywood. He’s also waking up black people who have been under the dem spell for so long. I want black people to get ahead and get out from under the chains the dems have on many on them. I do care about the kid in the ghetto whose dad is not around and whose mom is an alcoholic because his dad is not around so she can’t cope. Yes bad choices are being made, but it’s a viscous cycle of hopelessness. The dems wanting to pour in illegals and illegal drugs does not help this kid. Kanye and the President want to TRULY help this kid and all the others like him. This is why I care about what Kanye has to say.

Celebrities encouraging penises on women and visa versa and wanting to take our guns and hating on our President and the anthem and wanting laws broken and lawlessness in border towns and wanting babies slaughtered and praising a religion that teaches murder those who don’t covert. They are the ones encouraging hate. They are the ones who are Anti-America. They are the ones I’m sick of hearing. It’s about time a celebrity takes on the machine! Bravo Kanye! May the good Lord Bless and protect him!

Exactly. And when that happens our Nation is free. Financially and historically. People don’t realize that the AA community would be a top 5 economic power in the WORLD!

This is what the left fails to realize.

Well, in fairness there were politically liberal minded people who felt that Kanye had become mentally unstable prior to this.

Yes. But what about his wife? Did she? You aren’t capable enough education wise or personally to diagnose Kanye with a frickING THING!

I find Kanye West to be as sober and credible in regard to politics as the "Diamond and Silk" characters regularly featured on Fox News. Or, in other words, not at all.

Exactly. Because those black Americans don’t fit your political narrative. And it pisses you off to no end.

We care because he is "woke". And he can help "wake" other AAs. He isn't still brainwashed by the left.

IMHO, he didn't step out of line. He is trying to stay relevant. Prior to this week and his Trump tweets when was the last time you heard about him or KK?

I don't give an flying F about either one of them nor their opinions on politics. But I would be willing to bet that the ones giving him high praise right now will downgrade anything that Stinger B and Lazy J have to say positive about the Dem side of politics. Again why do we/you care about their thoughts when you can have/make you own?

It's late and I'm out.
