The White House coronavirus task force is said to be preparing to announce new guidelines formulated by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) that recommend Americans in areas hit hardest by the novel coronavirus wear some type of facial covering while out in public.

The change in guidelines signals a major shift in how officials are looking to combat the spread of COVID-19.

“Because of some recent information that the virus can actually be spread even when people just speak as opposed to coughing and sneezing – the better part of valor is that when you’re out, when you can’t maintain that 6-foot distance, to wear some sort of facial covering,” Dr. Anthony Fauci said, while appearing on "Fox & Friends" on Friday.

Ordered masks for the fam last night when I read this.

If you think they’re scarce now, wait until tomorrow.

This man needs to be stopped. This little midget is going to wreck our economy past the point of no return.

So if we can only find one mask, we are supposed to reuse it? Because germs latch onto them and we’d be infecting ourselves if we recycle the mask. An N95 isn’t something you can throw in the washing machine.

I'm not going to wear a mask.
Haven't worn one.
Still conduct normal life.
Still go to the store.
Still not sick.

Not buying what he is selling

Would have a lot more prevalence if what he says is true

He bases this suggestion on what?

At some point the American people are going to say 'fack this'....time to move along, you die - you die but I am about living'

You do you. I’m fine with people making their own choices.

Didn't you know, he's the "expert". Even though he changes his tune every couple of days on a specific topic, he's the expert.

"in the areas hit the hardest"

Meh...95% of the country has limited number of cases. Just wall off NYC and NJ for a couple of months.

Exactly! Only, it's how does one find a bunch of masks to get through every day of this? I can't even find a thermometer.
