Did Porter stick a cigar in an intern's vag? Evidently anything up to, and including that is okay with the Left.

Nice job insinuating the wife wanted to be beaten up while also playing whataboutism

That's like a triple word score on scrabble

CNN: White House communications director Hope Hicks, who has been in a romantic relationship with Rob Porter, was involved in crafting the response to the allegations of domestic abuse leveled against Porter on Tuesday.

Oh. I see.

You guys don't understand or pretend not to understand POs and so now, you're just going to ignore that despite getting one in 2010, he apparently was never charged.........and has never been convicted.

Well. At least you libs are consistent in your disdain for things like evidence.

It's just so hard to talk about things in any real terms in this environment.

Of course it's embarrassing to the WH that Porter beat up his ex wife. It's problematic that Kelly defended him, but only to the extent Kelly should have known of the apparent legitimacy of the allegations. It's not a scandal, but it is a bad look.

The thing with Hope is bad because it's the second time she's been connected romantically to a problematic colleague, and here it looks like she's helping defend him out of some personal affection or something.

CNN/the left is going the moral outrage route, which I think is stupid unless Kelly knew the full scope of the conduct.

Some Trump loyalists won't even acknowledge that the WH has had a rocky experience in hiring professionals, even though that much is obvious.

you do realize that a protective order doesn't tell you that right?

I mean he may well have beat her and if he did he's scum. But the protective order doesn't tell you that

You used the phrase apparent legitimacy. Where do you get that phrase from

I am genuinely surprised at how many Americans still don't know about the problem with protective orders in this country

She gave herself the black eyes, right Rob? And his other wife abused herself, too

That's why he quit his job

Pictures of a punched face are by definition, evidence

I addressed the original post because it said people should have reacted to a protective order by firing somebody which is stupid on its face given how ridiculous protective orders are in this country

As for black eyes being evidence it does beg the question. If there is evidence of him abusing her why wasn't he charged

I'm just going with my gut here.

Two women over a series of years document that this guy is a hot head trending toward abuse. They both have other good things to say about him and appear to have tried to stick it out with him. One of them still can't bring herself to fully condemn him, saying he's really good at his job, etc.

Daily Mail, no real foe of the administration, is at the front of the story.

It just has none of the signs of a bullshite accusation IMO.

Let me be clear here. I frankly think he probably did it

But the thread was started by somebody who wanted to focus on Kelly

To that end I simply pointed out that the man was never charged. And call me crazy but I think that should still matter

You can get a protective order against anybody. There is literally no defense for a protective order.

I think it is perfectly reasonable to say that a person who has never been charged should be able to work in this country without being assumed to be guilty

If the man was abusing his ex wives then charge him and what ever legally happens he deserves. Do charges like this always take some ones job?

If he had no prior charges then why would there be a red flag for him getting his job?

I'm just commenting on the story as a whole, I'm not interjecting myself into any prior discussions you were involved in with OP

Probably the same reason Trump wasn't charged for ripping his wife's hair out

I'm happy to keep plugging with the idea that you should have to be charged and convicted before I assume you're guilty especially when protective orders are such bullshite in this country

Can only assume you are ignorant of the protective orders problem or just don't give a shite about honesty. Either way I really don't give a frick what you think.

Protective orders in this country are a racket and so they shouldn't be given very much weight years after the fact
