Why do people think he would not have killed anyone had he not been able to acquire a gun. Extensive research has shown me that murder began long before guns were invented.

I thought the post referenced a hypothetical situation, not the hard facts of the case at hand. Who knows, maybe I read it incorrectly. Doesn’t seem so though.

If only there were places that had very few to zero guns; we could look at their homicide rates and see if guns are causing all the problems.
U.S. murder/homicide rate for 2018 was 4.96, a 6.77% decline from 2017.
Virgin Islands (U.S.) murder/homicide rate for 2012 was 49.28, a 15.85% increase from 2011.
Perhaps you should start there.

Yeah pretty much every other country has notably less robust personal/individual rights and freedoms than the U.S. so I suppose there’s going to be a correlation there. But I won’t be moving to any of those. But it’s ok of others feel the urge to do so.

The guy in Wisconsin used his SUV to kill multiple people. You want to limit ownership of SUVs?

yes. comparing the continental united states to the virgin islands from studies 6 years apart seems fair. 330 million vs 106k

also would love to hear how murder rates in the virgin islands impacted this terrible event. it's sad, not matter how any of us feel about guns
