Whether you are secular or religious, if you are right of center, you should still want

The Catholic/Christian church to act in opposition to the regime in charge.

The fact that Churches are not only largely staying neutral or silent, but in many cases are aiding and abbetting the state. Immigration and recently Covid are examples. Any church that shut down during Covid is not really a church, and not serving its purpose.

Small L libertarians seem to scoff at any form of collective organization, but the reality is that in order to oppose something as deep and wide as this regime, you can only do it with other institutions. Individuals and grassroots simply isn't enough. Having wealthy elites like Elon is helpful. But traditionally it was always the Church that provided that bulwark. That is why religous leaders used to.be martyred for their beliefs.

I give credit to Bishop Vigano and Bishop Strickland for standing up for Church and even being punished for it. But by and large, the Church (Catholic and Protestant) has been fairly passive and has failed to protect their flocks.

The true Church of Jesus Christ is not voting for Kamala Harris, and not because it’s preached behind the pulpit, but because she and her party stand upon things that run counter to what Christ instructed us in scripture, and so because scripture and following Christ is significantly more important to politics, our politics must align with scripture, or at least not stand in opposition to it.

It’s a pretty easy choice.

Following Catholicism emboldens my fervor to oppose DC even more.

Most church organizations love open borders.

That's enough for me to wish bad things upon them.

But the teachings in scriptures and catechism do not.

The problem is the human leadership is not doing it's job. Even if you are secular. You should still want a Church that follows its teachings and does its job. That makes for a better country for everyone, including atheists.

I don't care what they should or shouldn't be doing. The "Church" has been sticking its nose where it doesn't belong for centuries.

I only know that their support of open borders is destroying this country. So they can get fricked.

Close to 90% of churches shut down in person temporarily at some point during the pandemic. So going by your statement only 10% of churches are real churches...and if that is the case then how much influence can they really have in a national election?
