“Highest paid individual in the US federal government”

That’s chump change compared to all the kickback money he’s gotten from drug companies.

I can’t see the downside to his absence.

Fauci is plotting something. He's secretly the head of an evil organization and now, having given rise to chaos, he is about to use a threat of releasing a threatening biological agent, like some dwarf movie villain, seeking world domination.

So the fact that Fauci is a piece of garbage representing himself as science, the fact he is covering for idiotic policies which rendered America more vulnerable to a pandemic, and the fact he is vaporizing patient-doctor confidence by infesting medicine with politics and propaganda is not something that bothers you?

Apparently not. It sounds like he thinks it's funny. Pretty bad look. Give it another couple months and these idiots will realize they've been supporting modern day Nazis.

The complexity of the decision making process surrounding that exact issue is many, many levels above your pay grade. It wasn’t a decision of chocolate milk or plain milk with your lunch, but rather an array of very weighty factors that even I can’t accurately describe even though I’m at least aware of the situation.

Bottom line is the President was in a position of choosing the lesser evil options amongst only evil, nasty options. His cost-benefit analysis resulted in what we observed. That’s not as easy as the white or chocolate milk level decision, I’m aware, but that’s unavoidably the mature assessment of the matter.

Or....it was just another of the, too many to count, clear examples of how Trump is on the side of the "deep state."

I didn't believe that anyone could come up with more excuses for a President than Obama supporters. But in four years, the Trump supporters, at least on this board, proved me wrong.

But I guess that's just how the game is set up to be played.

The reasoning behind Trump’s handling of the Fauci situation wasn’t at all difficult to think about, and at least to me makes such clear sense it’s just almost impossible to figure out how anyone could reasonably think otherwise. You really can’t brainstorm any plausible explanation for Trump’s decisions in that regard?

It’s actually just simple cost-benefit analysis. Which bears the highest cost with less benefit, the media apocalypse of firing Fauci paralyzing the remainder of Trump’s Presidency thereby rendering him persona non grata through end of term……or…….keeping him on but at arm’s length and managing it as best possible thus avoiding the first thing??

You don’t have to say it. It’s all good.
