Trump literally railed about how these kinds of statistics are bullshite before he became president.
He has certainly improved the economy but some of the fluff behind the unemployment numbers is ridiculous

My company has 614 jobs open nationwide right now. We are having a difficult time finding people at the moment. Wage rates are increasing and we are having to offer much more than we did 2-3 years ago to meet market conditions.
