Today's elections are local, with Trump mostly being a non-factor. HIs endorsements won't carry an election, turnout will. And if Trump were running he'd win in a bigger landslide than before, especially if the rigged election stuff is fixed. Gerrymandering, illegal harvested votes, mail in fraud and machine tampering.

The fact that the Governor's race in NJ is close is evidence of Dem 'underperformance' more so than Republicans losing in Blue districts.

Nice try. Albeit the big issue of "fundamental change" likely won't be settled with voting anyway. Both sides have too much to lose and it's a zero sum game. Albeit ironically so, the Right will implement an Authoritarian version of pseudo-Socialism anyway. Already have in effect. Go figure.

I'm pretty sure you're wrong, here.

GN, care to clarify?

Do you think the neocon bullshite of this admin can help the economic status of young people in America in any meaningful way?

This is what drives me nuts. The boomercons lecturing young men to not go to college and instead learn a trade while ceding all the high paying white collar tech jobs to foreigners. That's not America first and its a national security threat as well

What boomers are saying this?

Seriously? What boomer YouTube channels are you watching?

Most of what you said is bullshite.

80 year olds aren’t on YouTube telling people to go into trades.

OP is correct but this board is full of boomers and sycophants so the message is falling on deaf ears. NYC and Zohran should be a wake up call. Appealing to the dying boomers is dumb. The younger generations want someone that provide some hope that the American life is still possible.

Its about optics

Its hard to care about conflicts in Ukraine and Iran when mass layoffs are happening nationwide and entire verticals in tech companies are Indian from the top down where they only hire other Indians

How can work visas be justified when we see 6 figure layoffs at companies and then our administration seems to care more about Venezuela than workers being replaced

Mandami is young folks Joker moment. Most feel disenfranchised and are now turning to something they deem "better." Which clearly will not be.

The problem is the other side has absolutely done nothing meaningful to remedy this.

Care to post an intellectual retort since you attempt to pass yourself off as the rational board moderate?

At least attempt it?

Thank you for proving my point about interpreting your comments.

But seriously, you have to focus on the blue collar types almost more than the boomers, in these discussions. The whole MAGA/AF tent brought in a lot of uneducated political neophytes who only talk in soundbites who are pushing the blue collar tenets of MAGA/AF and want America redone in that image.

They don't think your job is a real job or produces much, if anything, and certainly not so much more to justify your salary compared to their salary.

They are unrelated.

GN can clarify by responding to:
quote:

over the course of a few months, Trump's cracked down on visa abuse, raised the cost of H1B apps 40-fold, locked down the border, issued massive regulation cuts, worked his arse off to on-shore industries, and locked in massive tax cuts.

What exactly is it you'd like to have seen him do?

There isn't much possible b/c you just posted a lot of framed NPC MAGA talking points without much meat. Hence the meme.

It's the equivalent of a Leftist saying "Democracy was saved". Generic NPC platitudes without any substance included.

He or AOC will seriously become president if the GOP continues down this road. Laugh all you want.

I don't disagree with that. But, GN is correct -- a turn to leftist populism shouldn't be a surprise to anyone.

None of this has any significant effect, especially when Trump can just end the program and send hundreds of thousands of them back home.

Why is he pussy footing around this policy to the detriment of Americans? He can attack H1B the same as illegal immigration and have a much more impactful and direct net positive on Americans.

I blame Con Inc for pushing the whole anti college mindset

There are a lot of problems with college, such as costs and woke professors/administration. But telling young white men not to go to college cedes that ground to foreigners.

Environment is bringing us Mandami, so one can determine with a small bit of confidence that the environment is not working for everyone.

It only applies to new visas, is only a one time fee instead of annual, hasn't been enacted yet, and does nothing about the visa abusers already here
