it's just mind boggling that conservatives can't understand that some people don't view a cluster of cells inside a woman's body that more often than not don't even survive as a distinct human being that can somehow be murdered

After a heartbeat is heard at 6 weeks over 77% survive. AT 10 weeks 98% survive so dumb post is dumb. Also can something have unique one of a kind homo sapien DNA and not be a distinct human being.

that's fine to say that, but I would need to know how the question was framed to get an accurate read on what the 25% means.

When will you go back to what you claim are your values?

If you can't even concede the complexity of the issue in your premise, then I don't know what to tell you.

There are 2 people involved in every abortion (3 if you count the father, and forgive me, but I believe you are in the camp that does not count the father at all). I get that you cats find it extraordinarily easy/convenient to ignore the tiny little defenseless person here, but Republicans, generally, have not - even those who might be more "pro choice" than the party's platform.

Even more mind boggling is people who can't understand we are all made up of cells.

How do the fetus's rights trump the pregnant woman's?

Because in 95+% of cases, she literally chose to put it there and acknowledged the possibility of life by engaging in sexual intercourse with a male human.

I like to work problems big to small, so lets cover the 95% of pregnancies ended by choice rather than out of necessity here, deal? Once I hone in on you logic on 95% I'll get the other 5%

The Alabama bill says the other 5% is tough shite whether she had a choice or not.

So your logic is flawed

What I was getting at is that once conception occurs, fewer than half actually survive. Things are very fragile at that stage. It's just a cluster of cells. And I'm pointing out that is's pretty mainstream to, you know, not consider that a human being

A cluster of cells with its own unique homo sapien DNA.

Fetus, not a baby

And there is the crux of the problem, science denial! This idiot doesn't believe that he was alive and existed until after birth! Your location does not determine who you are, or if you are alive or if you are a person.

The culture war is already over - <25% of Americans believe abortion should be banned

I'm sure that language is "in all cases", but you're right that the culture war "was" over. Abortion, particularly 1st trimester abortions, was generally accepted as a fact of life by most Americans.

But, you're sort of projecting here, as well. About 80% of folks want abortion limited to the first trimester. Only the truly radical fringe (probably 1 in 6 or maybe 1 in 8) are really all in for abortion on demand up until the moment the baby breathes room air (or even beyond). Despite this, Dems started making these late term abortions a platform issue.

And, so you have these heartbeat bills as a reaction to that. Deal with it.

I understand that thought process.
Humans have been capable of all kinds of terrifying thought processes that have led to all kinds of terrible things. The current mass slaughter of innocent children for the sake of convenience is no different

Actually, your reading comprehension is flawed, because I addressed your gotcha attempt here before it had a chance to be born. No one considers your reply real or valid because it isn't viable. Sorry.
