There is absolutely literally no chance an 85 year old post-op cancer survivor with pneumonia is keeping on top of work much less actively writing Supreme Court opinions.

Does no one here have grandparents? Picture them at 85 years old after a major surgery in recovery with pneumonia. Then try to picture them reading a get well card or writing a note much less a Supreme Court opinion.

It really sucks just from a humanity standpoint. That's where I am at this point. We are collectively losing our humanity to politics on both sides of the isle. This poor 85 year old woman should be with her family at the end of her life. Instead she's a tool and chess piece for our political alter of sacrifice which knows no morals or limits.

We don't stop anymore. We don't examine. We don't introspect. We just fly into ever evolving outrage culture day after day leaving a trail of unsifted and unexamined destruction in our wake.

Old and young. Black and white. Rich and poor. We are willing to sacrifice any and all to the worship alter we have built for divisive politics.

We are witnessing the polorizing and galvanizing terror humanity usually undergoes before something truly awful and historic. Communist revolutions, world wars, Holocausts, all started because a group of people surrendered their collective humanity and morals to relativistic politics and turned a blind eye to the consequences.

She's not only a willing participant she's front and center with leftist politics.

Don't feel sorry for her, Feel sorry for her victims.

Yes, you are correct. Actually I could have chosen any of your points. They are all equally good. I've been voting in Presidential elections since Gerald Ford lost. And now I fear for our country as it unravels more each day. We are in a perpetual election cycle and hyperbole all day every day. There is no time to breath.

Republicans are getting close to being on life support. Their base is aging and dwindling. It is highly likely that Rs will get steamrolled in 2020. This time the Democrats who are supremely motivated, will take no prisoners in ascendency and they will ram through everything (and then some) that Barack Obama considered when he desired to "fundamentally transform" this country. I used to think about the number of despots and dictators who ruled in the world and what allowed them to rise to power. And how lucky we are that politicians in this country never showed these tendencies. How are we different here?

Deep down, at least for some, I don't think we are different and you may be seeing the manifestation of that now in our current political discourse.
