"We reached her on the phone at her home in Washington this morning. She congratulated us and said the nomination was 'eminently well-deserved.' She’s not doing well.
She’s retaining a lot of fluid, her kidneys are probably failing. She’s not sleeping well. She requires help taking showers and making it to the bathroom. She’s wearing diapers. She’s still reading but not often. Most everything is being read to her. She’s not eating well. She’s had a real problem with the yeasties. Her physical therapists (she has two) are seeing signs that are worrying them.
They’re planning to prop her up to make an appearance soon. Something to galvanize the liberal hordes of feminists ... but she is not doing well at all.

I don't wish RBG dead, or any I'll will. I might not, and don't, agree with many of her stances but the old broad is tough as nails and if anything has been incredibly consistent in her career.
If she's no longer with the living and at this point just being used in a political leverage scheme, it is a great disservice to the nation and an abhorrent and tragic disrespect to RBG herself.
I respect her privacy and that of her family. But if she's gotta go, let her go with dignity and not amidst a chaotic partisan shitstorm.
