You’re old enough to have a son in law, but say “what’s the tea”?

This sounds like the female family member who sent you this voted for Kamala... so obviously retarded and can't be trusted to tell the entire truth.

I find it hard to believe that you can be arrested for simply being homeless.
Let me help you out here.
You can be arrested for illegally camping, possession of illegal drugs and paraphernalia, possession of stolen property, lewd and indecent conduct, public intoxication, criminal trespass, theft, panhandling, squatting, illegal entry, harassment, and many other violations of laws and ordinances.
There is a VERY high likelihood that a majority of D.C. "transients" are in violation of multiple laws and statutes.

So this is partt of the executive order he just signed.

Also mentioning that they would be moved to a more institutional like setting. Without due process? Are we not worried about due process anymore as Americans?? I understand some are addicted to drugs, some are mentally ill, but you or i would also be pretty fkt up if we found ourselves homeless. I think it woukd make me a basket case personally. To put them in a jail and not help them with their addiction or mental illness is not worth a damn imo.

Also to add crime in DC is down 35% over the last couple of years. So he cant use that as a reason so basically, hes doing this just because he doesnt like the way it looks. Well..homelessness is a REAL PART OF LIFE and its ugly but this isnt the way to handle it. Rich bitches in washington cant deal with seeing it. Omg. Wah wah.
I hope none of you people find yourself homeless and being arrested or moved to another location against your will. Or jailed! What a messed up decision by POTUS.
No due process will bite us all in the backside one day. You better protect your rights now...even if these new laws aren't directly affecting you now, they will in the future.

You don't know that until it happens to you.
I don't talk about it much because it's a part of my life that I overcame and buried, but in my young worthless days I actually was homeless for a period of time.
Well, I didn't succumb to the temptations around me and I pulled myself out of it and became a productive member of society. It didn't mess me up. It motivated me. And that's exactly what I needed.

Surely you’d just ask the person who sent you the text.

Then wtf. Why is trump treating homeless people like this?? Why not help them get on their feet. You know...Americans first??!?
If you would take the time to look into what is in the order, you wouldn't post a dumb post like you did..Google it next time...."He has ordered that individuals living in homeless encampments "have to move out, IMMEDIATELY," stating that they will be given places to stay, but "FAR from the Capital". White House officials have indicated that these individuals will be given the options of going to a homeless shelter or receiving addiction or mental health services. If they refuse, they may be subject to fines or jail time." Many of these people probably have mental problems or on drugs so this order actually help them "get on their feet" as you say!

I wish we could get rid of homeless but you need clear laws to do so. It’s a slippery slope with our constitution.

Exactly. Contributors count more than takers. People with jobs count more than homeless drug addicts with mental issues. How is this even controversial?

Some Americans count more than others. Poor Americans don’t count at all. Deport them all.

D.C. Code § 22-1307 prohibits individuals from crowding, obstructing, or incommoding public areas like streets, sidewalks, and building entrances.

There has been an increase in leftist trolls and alters, but I never noticed you were gone as I never noticed you existed before.
eta: the more of your posts I read the more obvious it is you are an old alter account resurrected to pretend to be pro-Trump while spouting nothing but leftist views. This schtick has become tiresome.

Here it is...***** is getting sent to Washington DC to arrest homeless people and waste tax dollars. They told him be prepared for 30 days. Come today.
I am so sorry. I should have specified "I am sure that is what the official order from his superior said" instead of my response, "I am sure that is what the message said".
I should have known you would take my comment to mean "I am sure that is what your melodramatic SIL sent to you in a text".
FIY, I really don't give a shite what your SIL's peanut gallery bleeding heart interpretation of the actual order was.

They are in violation of the law by being where they are. They are being offered the choice of -
1. Move along.
2. Let us give you a place to stay and mental health or addiction treatment.
3. Stay here and continue breaking the law and be subject to being fined or arrested.
