Woooo a 0-0 tie after watching guys kick a ball around for an hour and a half. Even better their stupid rules actually discourage exciting play. Especially the offside rule. It's a lame attempt at making the game competitive.

What is offsides in soccer?

In this example, the player on the red team in the upper right is offsides if the attacking player with the ball were to pass it to him. Why? because he's too close to the goal line. This is the equivalent of calling offensive pass interference if a wide receiver were to create a lot of distance between him and the defensive player covering him.



It's dumb and the reason for it is to make it "fair" yet you still have a goalie and not like the defending player can't stay on the original player in the above scenerio if the offsides player were to pass the ball back to them.

Again, 90 minutes of bullshite. The euros can keep that crap.
