Losing to Trump seems to be the unforgivable stain in the Democrat community. I think this is the end of her career. There are too many other talented politicians available in 2028.

My guess as well. She and her handlers will try to rinse the loss off by saying she was only afforded an abrevated amount of time to campaign (let's ignore the fact that she was hidden) and she stepped up when the party needed her (let's ignore that she was involved in a coup).

There are no "superstars" waiting in the wings in CA to replace Newsome.
