What's more tragic, the death of an innocent child or the death of an innocent adult?

I know both are tragic but we have a significant percentage of Americans who have decided the tragic and appalling death of George Floyd is an incident worth burning the country. I posted an article from VOX yesterday that documented over two dozen deaths of innocent black children/teenagers in St Louis in 2019 mostly from gang violence....that was just St Louis......there was undoubtedly hundreds of innocent black children killed by gang violence across America in 2019......I saw no national protests over this loss of life yet millions of Americans are seemingly ok with the over the top rioting over Mr. Floyd's death.

Do we have social injustice? Of course but the real issue isn't the death of Mr. Floyd it's the selective outrage of politically motivated and politically frustrated Americans and I'll let you guess which ideology they prescribe to.

Floyd was a former prisoner...

Was on drugs, was driving a vehicle while on drugs the day he died

Was allegedly arrested for counterfeiting money

Resisted arrest when he refused to get in the police vehicle.

Are we going sit idle and watch fatherless black Americans destroy our cities over a dark soul who died on camera because it appears the white cop "killed" him?

None of it makes sense...to be this outraged over a man no one knew... who was clearly no angel

Did Floyd have a rough upbringing?

I think its relevant if he did.

But it seems the injustice would be not having a solid foundation.

Who was responsible for Floyd's child development?

Who is responsible for Floyd's decisions?

I think the question doesn't even need to be asked because it's not relevant to those you are truly directing it towards.

Assuming your supposition that both are equally innocent:
Legally, since both are equal in humanity they are equal in tragedy.

Philosophically, since one received more life experience the knee jerk response is the child is more tragic. But this only takes quantity of life in consideration and not quality. So technically there is insufficient information to form a valid opinion.

Christian spirituality, says equal works. But as most Protestants would point out, no mention of faith is presented, so again insufficient information. But most other religions that care not who one’ gods are or aren’t, would find them equally in non-tragedy.

Now that’s how you answer essay questions on an exam!

Maybe someone can answer this question. I've read several articles about how Floyd was a great football player in HS.
Why didn't he get a scholarship? Not even from a D-II school?
