if he has a poll conducted concerning how alabama voters would respond to him, he would move to a retirement home in miami....the little coward is hated down here, and i doubt that he would have a chance against the baby killer

I personally think he was part of the “insurance policy” that Struck referenced. Basically, the last 2 years of muh Russia can be laid right at his feet. What a despicable little troll!

I don’t think he was part of the insurance policy. The guy was always a little too “Alabama” for those Washington insiders.

I think he was just weak. He started feeling the heat and he got scared. He should have stood up to those assholes when they wanted him to recuse, and he was too scared.

If there’s one thing Trump detests, it’s weakness. It’s why Trump stood by Kav for example. He sensed Kav wasn’t going to back down. Sessions ultimately didn’t stand up to that mob, or Trump. That’s why the relationship soured. Trump lost respect for him.

Alabama voters would tear The Elf apart. He could not beat ME running for Senate, probably not Doug Jones, Roy Moore, or Beelzebub.

So sessions legitimized trump as the first supporting senator to his campaign, only to undercut him as an insurance policy in case he won. Makes sense.

Trust sessions.

I think that the insurance was that someone, somewhere has some dirt on JS and blackmailed him.

makes more sense than "Trump is an agent of Putin!" and that sheet has gone on for 2 years.

What is your point?

Hoping they don’t expose the pictures of him diddling kids they used to control him, because that’s the only possible thing that could explain his behavior

On point....Sessions is a little weasel and I am glad to see him off the national stage. Trump was repaying a political debt by nominating him AG but he was terrible choice for that job.

I do wonder, not a peep.

I still cant believe a guy with all those years of experience could be that naive or weak.

Something I have always wondered. Mike Rogers visits Trump and shows him the evidence that they are spying on him. That very week he nominates Sessions. Sessions at the time was the only friggin guy in DC who he could seemingly trust at that point, wouldnt he have discussed it with Sessions, if so Sessions would certainly have known not to recuse himself. Or maybe they planned for him to recuse himself letting the whole thing play out.

Or did Trump see something that told him Sessions was a mole and nominated him to see how it would play out by letting all the players round themselves up so he did not have to go find them?

The whole thing is sooo odd, and I just cant believe Sessions could not see recusing himself would be a fatal issue....unless it was planned.

Sessions should have resigned instead of hanging around. He was quick to recuse himself should have been just as quick to resign.

You would think Sessions would have seen through this charade and got a hand on the situation. He was probably technically correct on the recusal but it came off like weakness. Further, Trump was completely blindsided by the decision as reportedly Sessions didn't even give him the courtesy of a heads up. I don't know who Sessions thought he was working for....

Sessions was in on this from the beginning. He's a snake in the grass for sure.

Bamarep must have a beer with Turd on day.

Although I'm highly disappointed with Sessions, I do still respect his record as a Senator and what he did with immigration during his stint as AG.

As far as the rest of it, I still have to see what Horowitz and Huber and the other Atty from CT come up with before making a final judgement on Sessions. He at least put those pieces in motion.

As far as the Senate race, I honestly don't think Sessions has a role in that any longer. Byrne or the guy from Huntsville or hell, even Wingnut could do just as good or better than Sessions. I think like count Pelosi said about AOC in NY, we could put a glass of water with an R beside it this time and beat Jones. Alabamians that stayed at home last time learned their lesson.

Yes and both men were blindsided by this hoax. Both had good intentions of cleaning up this country and restoring the rule of law. The hoax destroyed those good intentions and the relationship between these two men. I can't take watching these democrats spewing lies and hatred towards this president. I do believe they have started something that will either destroy the democratic party or this country. As a matter of payback I can see the republican party with a vendetta on the next democratic president. Our only hope is that Trump wins again and maybe the fake news will slow down.
