Everyone on the left thinks that if Carlin were alive today he would tear Trump a new a-hole. And they're right, name a politician who was alive when Carlin was alive who he didn't tear a new a-hole. Carlin hated all politicians. Where the left is wrong is that they think he would join their crowd. He would tell their crowd to go frick themselves. Only he would phrase it something like why don't you go enjoy your autofellatio privilege. He hated book burners even more than he hated politicians.

I feel like the “woke” stuff kicked into warp-speed after Hitch died. Shame he didn’t live long enough to comment on it.
I remember his thoughts on the ‘12 election; I suspect he would not not been popular in ‘16.
His thoughts on free speech are badly missed, though.

None of them would dare try in a debate though. They’d do it via Twitter.
