John Bel Edwards is the most corrupt and most destructive influence and force in Louisiana politics in the last 40 years and especially since Edwin Edwards of which I consider JBE to be the political twin of.

The only thing JBE has accomplished is grow state government to be an even bigger blob of a monster while he spits and shits on the middle class, especially middle class conservatives, and their ability to make an honest living and make this state a better place to live in and raise a family.

His Governorship has been about putting as many people on the dole and doing absolutely nothing positive at all for Louisiana’s middle class and stole 8 billion of their tax dollars with absolutely nothing positive at all to show for that.

The most appalling and repulsive thing he’s done that will be truly harmful long term is his relentless attacks on the largest private provider of economic security to the people of Louisiana, oil and gas. He’s done everything he could to chase oil jobs out of Louisiana when we have nothing else of sort to employ our citizenry. It’s a clear example of why any respectable business worth a damn does absolutely not deal with JBE at all, not even a 5 minute passing conversation. He sees big business as a piggy bank to be cracked and the proceeding funds to be doled output his friends first and the people of Louisiana second. And the private sector has responded accordingly.

His Governorship has been about enriching and strengthening all the corrupt usual suspects that keep Louisiana shitty in the sheriffs and police chiefs, trial lawyers, nursing homes, teachers unions, state employees, anti oil and gas nut jobs, Medicaid lobby.

JBE ran on being a socially conservative blue dog Dixiecrat but the truth is that was nothing more than a cynical marketing lie designed to make low info sheep comfortable in giving him their votes. In reality that was always going to be a lie as he has governed as a classic liberal democrat and has never pushed any policy in a conservative direction that was not forced onto him by the GOP legislature. In every decision he’s made as Governor, it’s all about which benefits the most for the bottom line for the democrat party and himself.

In short, he’s a corrupt and partisan liberal democrat that will say anything, do anything and corrupt anything and anyone to win whatever battle he’s fighting.



John Bel Edwards is a monster and the worst and most destructive Louisiana Governor of the 21st century so far and is 3rd overall all time behind Huey Long and Edwin Edwards. His departure from office in January 2024 can’t come soon enough and that will be a happy and glorious day. It’ll be like the sunrise coming up after a horrible and rough stormy night.
