Holland has certain demographic advantages which the US does not that make their system of socialized healthcare work.

Also, when you have a life threatening condition, will you be traveling to Holland for treatment?

That is as false now as it was the past 4 times I've corrected you. Either you have a pathologic memory deficit, or you are just intent to invent your own facts.

I can't get anyone in real life to answer this question. What incentive does governmemt have to contain costs? If there isn't a good answer then no thank you as I don't trust government or liberals to not come back time after time for more money. At some point, the well runs dry.

They'll get it right this time though as we've been saying.

By this logic are you are saying Obamacare is the best healthcare in the world right now?

Is there anyone better than us?

If so who?

Our healthcare system WAS the envy of the world at one time.

Guess who got involved to quickly change that.

I'm less concerned with incentive than I am competence.

Medicare runs $10,600 per capita. The $10,600 does not include additional supplemental insurance costs often required to access preferred doctors/facilities.

So let's make it clear, our government cannot or will not address differential expenses in our system.
That will not change in a Medicare-for-all, more of the same, scenario.

Obamacare IS NOT HEALTHCARE !

Obamacare is insurance regulation.

To address your question, obamacare may comprise some of the poorest conceived insurance regulation in the world.

Hospital bureaucracy is one reason healthcare costs have skyrocketed out of control. The focus needs to be on trimming the fat then once healthcare costs are driven down, focus on insurance reform.

I like the idea of private doctors: LINK

The two doctors who started the Surgery Center of Oklahoma, Dr. Keith Smith and Dr. Steven Lantier, are committed to charging fair prices, and they founded their hospital with the goal of price transparency. “What we’ve discovered is health care really doesn’t cost that much,” Dr. Smith told KFOR-TV. “What people are being charged for is another matter altogether.”

They have been posting all of their prices online for the past several years, and they charge significantly less than other hospitals in the area.

When we first started we thought we were about half the price of the hospitals,” Dr. Lantier said. “Then we found out we’re less than half price. Then we find out we’re a sixth to an eighth of what their prices are. I can’t believe the average person can afford health care at these prices.”

$20T in debt and political inability to raise taxes on the "middle class".

"The rich" can't pay for single-payer. Even if we took all of their income. No politician is going to survive a campaign of doubling or tripling "middle class" tax rates. And we cannot borrow it.

The only thing left will be "cost savings" by restricting care.

Anyone that wants to become fullly dependent on a dysfunctional congress, strapped to the largest debt in the history of mankind is a fool.

They owe this to demographics/socioeconomics more than socialized medicine.

That's all well & good.

However, where do you think the technique was perfected which was used on this knee surgery?

Also, where do you think the Uruguayan hospital got its technology?

So much of the US healthcare bill is R&D...and the rest of the world benefits from it.

Serious question, is that the only criteria for healthcare quality?
